How Does it Work?
Hotline Implementation
- Implementer’s guide provides step-by-step
instructions for launching the program to teachers,
staff, students and parents
- Letter to send home to parents
- Posters for office, cafeteria and other common
areas
- Student and teacher handouts
- Website images and content
Making the Call
- Participants call a special toll-free number
to reach The Network 24/7/365 or use the Internet
and other reporting options
- Callers are interviewed by experienced professionals
- The detailed nature of the interview yields thorough,
actionable reports
- Anonymous callers are encouraged to call back
later using a PIN to answer any follow up questions
from school officials
After the Call
- The report is immediately sent to the appropriate
personnel, based on school location, reported issue
or other pre-determined criteria
- If a report is urgent, calls are made within
minutes to pre-determined emergency contacts, including
the police if necessary
- School officials document the investigation on-line
in the web-based Case Management system
- Trend reports help you understand the nature
of issues facing each school, so you can take proactive
action
