How Does it Work?

Hotline Implementation

  • Implementer’s guide provides step-by-step instructions for launching the program to teachers, staff, students and parents
  • Letter to send home to parents
  • Posters for office, cafeteria and other common areas
  • Student and teacher handouts
  • Website images and content

Making the Call

  • Participants call a special toll-free number to reach The Network 24/7/365 or use the Internet and other reporting options
  • Callers are interviewed by experienced professionals
  • The detailed nature of the interview yields thorough, actionable reports
  • Anonymous callers are encouraged to call back later using a PIN to answer any follow up questions from school officials

After the Call

  • The report is immediately sent to the appropriate personnel, based on school location, reported issue or other pre-determined criteria
  • If a report is urgent, calls are made within minutes to pre-determined emergency contacts, including the police if necessary
  • School officials document the investigation on-line in the web-based Case Management system
  • Trend reports help you understand the nature of issues facing each school, so you can take proactive action
