The Network’s NetClaim Selected as “Top Tier” Technology Product by Risk & Insurance Magazine

In its annual review of the most noteworthy new technology-based risk products, Risk & Insurance Magazine has selected The Network, Inc.’s NetClaim as a “Top Tier” technology solution in the area of rapid claim reporting for the year 2000. The magazine singled out NetClaim because the product uniquely combines the benefits of a Web-based intake system with a wide array of risk-related professional services.

Released during the RIMS 2000 show in San Francisco, NetClaim is a single point intake system for workers’ compensation, general liability, auto liability and property claims. It was developed as an Intranet application to accommodate a seamless transition to an Internet environment. As a result, it runs natively on a Web browser, which transmits data directly to The Network’s system. Users of NetClaim have the choice of accessing the service via the Internet or through a toll-free number, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Whether a claim is received by phone or via the Internet, routing remains identical because all existing dissemination logic is common to both intake services.

NetClaim offers numerous features to meet the needs of the Risk and Insurance market, including:

  • Advanced, Internet-based technology
  • Questions that can be tailored to a company’s specific needs
  • Automated electronic transfer of claims information to appropriate claims handler
  • Duplicate claim check, based on location and date of injury
  • Useful management summary reports
  • Laser-printed forms
  • Electronic pre-fill of client-specific data
  • Escalation (Critical Notification) service using client-specific criteria.

NetClaim also supports three distinct business models:

Application Service Provider (ASP). The ASP model supports Third Party Administrators, Insurance Carriers and Managed Care Providers with claims intake call center functions. NetClaim becomes the front end to their claims management systems.

Direct Remote Entry. The Remote Entry model is available for employers wishing to report their claims directly via a secured Internet connection. The system can be privately labeled and accessed seamlessly from existing Websites.

Telephonic Reporting. NetClaim is the operating system for The Network’s industry-leading telephonic claim intake services.

“This product offers many functions required for fast submission of claims,” said Risk & Insurance commentators, “With these features, there’s no excuse for late reporting or non-notification of ‘critical’ claims, all factors that affect the bottom line on the cost of claims.”

Julio Cantillo, The Network’s Chief Operating Officer said, “I'm pleased with the great reception NetClaim has had with our Internet client users. We experienced the same level of excitement from our Call Center staff when it was implemented as our main operating system."
